We recently conducted a poll to ask our readers how much they thought a person really be spending on an engagement ring?
The results for how much people thought they should spend on an engagement ring are in:
We had 175 people answer the question, with the following results:
- £500 – £1,000 = 38 (21.7%)
- £1,000 – £2,000. = 51 (29.14%)
- £5,000 – £10,000 = 45 (25.71%)
- £20,000 – £50,000 = 25 (14.29%)
- £60,000 – £100,000 = 14 (8%)
- £100,000+ = 2 (1.14%)
The wining vote went to £1000 – £2000 for a brand new engagement ring. We have to say though it was very close between the top three answers.
It was also very rewarding to see 14.9% of our votes would pay between £20,000 – £50,000 for a stunning ring. This is also a really good indication to the type of people who read JewelleryMonthly and willing to participate in a simple and quick poll.
