As the UK public prepare to kick back and take advantage of an extended Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, The Royal Jewellery collection including pieces featuring the worlds largest diamond will go on display at Buckingham Palace. The original diamond was cut into seven stones for a ring, necklace and brooches. The queen has worn some of these jewellery items in the past.
You can visit these diamonds in an exhibition held at Buckingham Palace from the 30th of June /8th July and 31July/7 October. You will also be able to see many of the Queens personal jewellery items.
The tour will also consist of an audio guide, and guests will be led through the Grand Entrance, Grand Staircase, Guard Room, Throne Room, Picture Gallery, Silk Tapestry Room, Ball Supper Room, Ballroom, State Dining Room, Blue Drawing Room, Music Room, White Drawing Room, Marble Hall, Bow Room and parts of the garden.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee 2012
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations mark 60 years of The Queen’s reign. It centre’s around an extended bank holiday weekend on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June. Most residents and workers of the UK will be allowed the day off work to join in the celebrations.
60 years of The Queen’s reign
On 6 February 1952 the Queen came to the throne. Her coronation took place on 2 June 1953. Her Silver Jubilee (25 years) was celebrated in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2002.
