CIBJO Congress 2025
The congress serves as the official annual gathering of CIBJO’s Assembly of Delegates, bringing together stakeholders from across the global jewellery supply chain. Over three days, the congress will facilitate in-depth discussions within CIBJO’s various sectoral commissions, covering key areas such as diamonds, coloured stones, pearls, precious metals, coral, gemmological laboratories, and responsible sourcing. One of the major outcomes of these sessions is the ongoing refinement and publication of the CIBJO Blue Books, which serve as internationally recognised standards for terminology and practices in the trade.
A key feature of this year’s congress will be the formal release of the first edition of the CIBJO Blue List — a new glossary of terms focused on responsible sourcing, designed to enhance clarity and consistency in ESG-related communication across the industry. In addition to technical sessions, the congress will also include updates on CIBJO’s work with the World Jewellery Confederation Education Foundation (WJCEF) and its collaboration with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
